The team behind Luli

Luli is built by a small team that includes parents

Luli is a baby sleep and feeding tracker made by a six-person team at SimpleInnovation LLC. Its product direction comes from Natalia, our product manager, who went through parenthood while working on it and wanted the app to say what to do about a baby’s sleep — not just write it down.

Going through parenthood myself, I saw how much it matters to sleep — and to know what to do about your baby’s sleep.

Natalia R., Product Manager at Luli

That is still the idea of the app: log a nap in a couple of taps, then see what the next few hours are likely to look like. The whole team builds around it.

We build the tracker and the predictions. Luli is not a medical provider and does not give medical advice — see the medical disclaimer.

What keeps me going
Luli makes life better for parents and children at a particularly fragile time.

Everyone who shaped Luli

Luli is not only the people working on it right now. A lot of what the app does today was designed and built by people who have since moved on to other products — their work is still in it.

Engineering

Artsiom, Igor S.

Built the first versions of Luli and most of what parents open and tap in the app today.

QA

Alina A.

Was there from the first build and checked every stage of the app, down to the point where everything finally worked the way it should.

Project management

Natallia

Led the project for more than two years, set up how the team works, and was in it from the very first task — reading everything there was to read about baby sleep.

Teams change. What people put into a product stays in it.

FAQ

Questions about the team behind Luli

Who makes Luli, and why?

Luli is built by a small team at SimpleInnovation LLC. Much of its direction comes from Natalia, the product manager, who went through parenthood while working on the app. Tracking her own baby’s sleep, she kept wishing it would tell her what the next few hours might look like instead of only recording what had already happened — and that idea still shapes what the team builds.

Is Luli made by parents?

Yes. The small team at SimpleInnovation behind Luli includes parents, among them the product manager, who has tracked her own baby with it, and the project manager, a mother of two. It is why logging a nap takes two taps rather than filling in a form.

Are the people behind Luli doctors or sleep consultants?

No. The team builds the tracker and its predictions; nobody on it is a pediatrician or a sleep consultant, and Luli does not give medical advice or run sleep training programs. It keeps a record of sleep, feeds and diaper changes and shows when the next nap window is likely to open. Anything to do with your child’s health is a conversation for your pediatrician.

Who answers support messages at Luli?

Write to babysleep@simpleinnovation.us and your message reaches the people who build the app. Bug reports and feature requests go straight to the team deciding what goes into the next release, so the person reading your email is the one who can do something about it.

Is Luli still being updated?

Yes. Luli is actively developed by the team at SimpleInnovation LLC and is available on the App Store and Google Play. Updates ship regularly, and you can read the full version history on either store page.

Support goes to the same six people — there is no call centre. If something in the app is wrong, tell us and it goes straight into the next release.
